The INDICATE project represents a significant step forward in transforming intensive care through innovative data-driven research. Our focus is on developing a secure and ethically responsible federated infrastructure for standardized Intensive Care data across Europe. This infrastructure will support groundbreaking applications, such as personalized medicine, AI-driven clinical decision-making, and cross-border data comparison.
Through multiple real-life use cases, we will test and refine the INDICATE infrastructure to ensure its effectiveness and value in practical intensive care settings. These use cases include the development of a “virtual digital twin”—a digital replica of a patient—and tools like dashboards to compare the quality of care across different ICUs.
As part of INDICATE, our research will produce high-impact scientific insights aimed at improving patient outcomes and strengthening the resilience of European healthcare systems. All scientific publications resulting from this project will be made available on our Publications page, ensuring transparency and accessibility for the wider research community.
Stay tuned for updates as we continue to advance the science of intensive care!
