Maurizio Cecconi is an anesthesiologist, intensive care specialist, and Chair of Anesthesia and Intensive Care Units at Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan, Italy. He is the Vice Scientific Director for Clinical Research, and the Vice President of the joint Medicine-Bioengineering degree “MEDTEC School” at Humanitas University in Milan. He is the past President of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine
